    We found that substituting the serine at 247 in the HCPro of PVYO (HCProO) with an alanine as in PVYN HCPro (HCProN) disrupts Nytbr recognition...Extending beyond PVY, we establish that the same response elicited by the PVYO HCPro is also induced by HCPro proteins from other members of the Potyviridae family that have a serine at position 247, but not by those with an alanine. Together, our results provide further insights in the strain-specific PVY resistance in potato and infer a broad-spectrum detection mechanism of plant potyvirus effectors contingent on a single amino acid residue.

    The study was conducted from February 2021 to September 2022; data were collected and analyzed using a questionnaire at 247 hospitals in Japan...Facilities with certified perioperative nurses have a significantly higher prevalence of preoperative outpatient clinic and significantly higher rates of preoperative assessments than facilities without certified perioperative nurses. Enrollment of certified perioperative nurses may lead to the improvement of the quality of preoperative nursing interventions.

    The most common issue encountered was "Patients came too early to request," which accounted for 986 (55.8%) of the total issues, followed by the issue of "Refilling a restricted medication" reported at 247 (14%)...The repeat prescription service might be associated with issues that lead to preventable adverse effects, especially among the elderly who are prone to such effects. Comprehensive reviews of patients' profiles are necessary to assess their needs and avoid such issues.

    This study monitored EETs in a lepidopteran insect, Spodoptera exigua, immunized with bacteria and found all four EETs (5,6-EET, 8,9-EET, 11,12-EET, and 14,15-EET) from larval fat body at 247-1,736 pg/g levels...In humoral immune response, all four RNAi treatments suppressed expression of antimicrobial peptide genes. This study reports the presence of all four EETs in larval fat body of S. exigua and suggests that four SeEPXs are associated with immune responses mediated by EETs.

    Increasing nucleotide supplementation changed (quadratic, P < 0.05) villus height-crypt ratio (at 247 mg/kg) and decreased (linear, P < 0.05) crypt cell proliferation rate in the jejunum...Nucleotide supplementation at 50 and 150 mg/kg increased (P < 0.05) ileal digestibility of energy and ether extract. In conclusion, nucleotide supplementation at a range of 50 to 250 mg/kg in the diets seems to be beneficial to newly weaned pigs by enhancing growth performance possibly due to reduced intestinal inflammation and oxidative stress as well as improved intestinal villi structure and energy digestibility.
