This novel evidence demonstrates that mexazolam (through its main metabolite chlornordiazepam) has a "pharmacodynamic fingerprint" that correlates better with an anxiolytic profile and fewer sedative effects, when compared to alprazolam, bromazepam and zolpidem, explaining clinical trial outcomes with these drugs. This also highlights the relevance of the pharmacological selectivity over GABA receptor subtypes in the selection of benzodiazepines, in addition to their clinical performance and pharmacokinetic characteristics.

Classification models built using partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) allowed for identifying whether a drink was spiked or not with the drug, with a prediction accuracy in the validation phase often higher than 90%. On the other hand, calibration models established through the use of partial least squares (PLS) regression allowed for quantifying the drug added with errors of the order of 2-5 mg/L.

Dual ALP effect on EAAT1/2 protein expression could point to its differential modulation therefore influencing the glutamate level in the synaptic cleft and potentially providing a fine tuning of glutamatergic excitatory neurotransmission.

Conclusion s The Result s of this study not only show that anxiogenic context increased social exploration and cFos expression in IL PFC, CeA and MeA, but also highlight specific patterns of CeA activation during social interaction that depend on the amount and type of stress that the animal was subjected to.

Risperidone orally disintegrating tablets combined with oxazepam shows potential in the treatment of schizophrenia by relieving patients' mental symptoms, improving quality of life and activities of daily living, and minimizing the incidence of adverse reactions.

In addition, competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) combined with partial least squares (PLS) regression (CARSPLS) was used to quantify adulterants (benzocaine, lidocaine, and procaine) in binary mixtures with crack (n = 21) and solutions of cachaça adulterated with bromazepam (n = 11).
