On her way to the ED, the patient was noted to have stridor and was administered intravenous (IV) diphenhydramine 50 mg...The patient received IV dexamethasone 8 mg, local benzocaine spray, and IV lorazepam 0...Her symptoms subsequently resolved, and she was discharged on five days of H1 blocker (cetirizine 20 mg twice daily), H2 blocker (famotidine 20 mg twice daily), oral steroid (prednisone 20 mg daily), and EpiPen...After reviewing the articles extensively, all the reactions were cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions [Table 1]. Hence, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of nystatin-associated laryngeal edema.
