Journal: Wearable devices for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest: A population survey on the willingness to adhere. (Pubmed Central) - Aug 28, 2024 The survey was completed by 359 participants...Individuals were willing to continuously wear wearable devices for OHCA detection, especially at increased hypothetical risk of OHCA. Optimizing willingness is not just a matter of adjusting for user preferences, but also increasing perception of urgency through awareness and education about OHCA.

Journal: Enzymatic Synthesis of Indole-Based Imidazopyridine using ?-Amylase. (Pubmed Central) - Mar 18, 2024 The imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine scaffold has gained significant attention due to its presence as a lead structure in several commercially available pharmaceuticals like zolimidine, zolpidem, olprinone, soraprazan, etc. Further, indole-based imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives have been found interesting due to their anticancer and antibacterial activities...The generality and robustness of this protocol were shown by synthesizing differently substituted indole-based imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines in good isolated yields. Furthermore, to make ?-amylase a reusable catalyst for GBB multicomponent reaction, it was immobilized onto magnetic metal-organic framework (MOF) materials [Fe3O4@MIL-100(Fe)] and found reusable up to four consecutive catalytic cycles without the significant loss in catalytic activity.

Review, Journal: Microplastic in mangroves: A worldwide review of contamination in biotic and abiotic matrices. (Pubmed Central) - Sep 23, 2023 We analyzed 53 articles on MPs in Asia, America, and Africa and produced by 359 authors, although very localized, lacking wide-scale coverage of mangrove coasts around the world...Therefore, for future research, it is relevant to enhance spatial and temporal sampling of MP contamination and to establish standardized protocols to enable effective comparisons between mangrove areas, rivers, beaches, and coastal seas. In addition, it is crucial to investigate the role of MPs as carriers or vectors of other pollutants.

Observational data, Journal: What factors contribute towards ambulance on-scene times for suspected stroke patients? An observational study. (Pubmed Central) - May 30, 2023 About 2037 suspected stroke patients were conveyed between July and December 2021, resulting in 581 fully completed surveys by 359 different clinicians...This type of data can be used to target interventions at behaviours that extend pre-hospital OST but which have questionable patient benefit. This approach will be evaluated in a follow up study in the North East of England.

Journal: The company Christmas party and employee happiness. (Pubmed Central) - Jan 8, 2023 Data were provided by 359 employees from various organizations in Germany, who completed an online survey at the beginning of January 2019...Furthermore, employee age, organizational identification, involvement in planning, a human relations and an internal process culture, a speech, providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, heavy drinking, supervisor and coworker inappropriate behavior, formality, and symbolism were differentially associated with high- and low-arousal positive and negative affect. These findings suggest several directions for future research on company parties and have practical implications for organizations and party planning committees.

Retrospective data, Journal: Terror-related injuries in Somalia: a retrospective cohort of 2426 hospitalized cases along 7 years. (Pubmed Central) - Oct 22, 2022 A total of 2426 patients were injured by 359 explosions and firearm attacks during the study period...The inpatient mortality rate was 11.6%. The findings of the study revealed that suicide bombings explosions are associated with multiple body site injuries, a greater rate of severe and critical internal injuries, and a higher mortality rate.

We reveal that revaprazan has a novel binding mode in which its tetrahydroisoquinoline moiety binds deep in the cation transport conduit. The mechanism of action of these P-CABs can now be evaluated at the molecular level, which will facilitate the rational development and improvement of currently available P-CABs to provide better treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal diseases.

Journal: Treatment guideline concordance, initiation, and abandonment in patients with non-metastatic breast cancer from the African Breast Cancer-Disparities in Outcomes (ABC-DO) cohort in sub-Saharan Africa: a prospective cohort study. (Pubmed Central) - Jun 8, 2022 The mechanism of action of these P-CABs can now be evaluated at the molecular level, which will facilitate the rational development and improvement of currently available P-CABs to provide better treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal diseases. A high proportion of patients with non-metastatic breast cancer did not initiate, did not fully complete, or abandoned treatment with surgery, systemic therapy, radiotherapy, or an appropriate combination of these, highlighting the need for improved treatment access and completion in sub-Saharan Africa to potentially prevent premature breast cancer deaths.

Journal: Remofuscin induces xenobiotic detoxification via a lysosome-to-nucleus signaling pathway to extend the Caenorhabditis elegans lifespan. (Pubmed Central) - May 6, 2022 Moreover, remofuscin failed to extend the lives of C. elegans with loss-of-function mutations (lipl-1, lbp-8, nhr-234, nhr-49, nhr-8, cyp-35A1, cyp-35A2, cyp-35A3, cyp-35A5, and gst-5), suggesting that these genes are associated with lifespan extension in remofuscin-treated C. elegans. In conclusion, remofuscin activates the lysosome-to-nucleus pathway in C. elegans, thereby increasing the expression levels of xenobiotic detoxification genes resulted in extending their lifespan.

Preclinical, Journal: Protective effects of heterophyllin B against bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice via AMPK activation. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 8, 2022 Furthermore, co-administration of heterophyllin B with AMPK inhibitor dorsomorphin (Compound C) significantly blocked the improvement effects of heterophyllin B on BLM-damaged lung tissue, and also increased the protein expression of STING which was inhibited by heterophyllin B in fibrotic lungs (P < 0.001)...In the present study we found that, in vitro, heterophyllin B significantly inhibited alveolar epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) and lung fibroblast transdifferentiation. We also found that the inhibition of heterophyllin B on lung fibroblast transdifferentiation and STING expression was reversed by Compound C. To summarize, heterophyllin B exhibited protective effects on BLM-induced lung fibrosis potentially by inhibiting TGF-Smad2/3 signalings and AMPK-mediated STING signalings.

Journal: Enhanced adsorption performance of alginate/MXene/CoFeO for antibiotic and heavy metal under rotating magnetic field. (Pubmed Central) - Oct 6, 2021 The isotherm fitting chose Cu and CIP as the model pollutants, the isotherm fitting shows that the adsorption capacity of CIP is significantly improved by 24.2%.The magnetic effect of the adsorption capacity of Cu is not obvious, which indicated the selectivity for adsorption; however, the adsorption rates of CIP and Cu are greatly improved by 359.76% and 371% respectively...The combination of the external magnetic field and the inherent magnetic properties of the adsorbent can adjust the adsorption process and the selectivity of pollutants. It also provides an innovative and practical method for MF to remediate contaminants in the magnetically enhanced adsorption system.
