Journal: Homozygous variants in WDR83OS lead to a neurodevelopmental disorder with hypercholanemia. (Pubmed Central) - Nov 13, 2024 A zebrafish model lacking Wdr83os function further supports its role in the nervous system, craniofacial development, and lipid absorption. Taken together, our data support a disease-gene association between biallelic loss-of-function of WDR83OS and a neurological disease trait with hypercholanemia.

Journal: Stimulation of liver fibrosis by N2 neutrophils in Wilson's disease. (Pubmed Central) - Oct 22, 2023 The facial eczema was allergic eczema caused by hepatic dysfunction and hepatonecrosis. Our findings provide a novel prospect that pharmacologic modulation of N2-neutrophil activity should be explored as an alternative therapeutic to improve liver function in Wilson's disease.

Journal: Moderate exercise relieves fluoride-induced liver and kidney inflammatory responses through the IKKβ/NFκB pathway. (Pubmed Central) - Oct 27, 2022 In addition, the expression levels of IKKβ and NFκB were increased, and the expression of IκBα was decreased after fluoride exposure, indicating that fluoride activated the IKKβ/NFκB pathway. In summary, long-term moderate treadmill exercise relieved fluoride-induced liver and kidney inflammatory responses through the IKKβ/NFκB pathway, and exercise can be used to prevent fluoride-induced liver and kidney damage.

IDENTIFICATION OF NEW POTENTIAL DRUGGABLE TARGETS IN GASTROINTESTINAL STROMAL TUMOR (GIST) THROUGH RNA SEQUENCING ANALYSIS () - Oct 19, 2022 - Abstract #AIOM2022AIOM_43; Imatinib, a tyrosinekinase inhibitor is the standard treatment for GISTs; however, many patients develop resistance to this drug and to sunitinib, regorafenib and repretinib (used as second, third and fourth lines of treatment) and so identification of new potential pharmacological targets remains an unmet clinical need. TOP2A may represent a novel druggable target in GIST; further studies will be needed to better understand its role in the carcinogenesis process.

Preclinical, Journal: Preventive Effects of Mandarin Fruit Peel Hydroethanolic Extract, Hesperidin, and Quercetin on Acetaminophen-Induced Hepatonephrotoxicity in Wistar Rats. (Pubmed Central) - Sep 14, 2022 The MPHE, hesperidin, and quercetin treatments resulted in marked decrease in liver and kidney histopathological scores including inflammation, necrosis, apoptosis, and congestion. In conclusion, the MPHE, quercetin, and hesperidin may induce hepatonephropreventive impacts in NAPAP-supplemented rats via enhancing the antioxidant defense system, anti-inflammatory activity, and antiapoptotic action.

Journal: The new in the enteral dysbiosis correction intensified by heavy metals and mycotoxins. (Pubmed Central) - May 14, 2022 The atmospheric methane emissions in the 2d group were decreased by 8 % (84±3.5 mg/m3). So, we can assume that using the complex of sorbents with hepatoprotective agent "Hepaton-vet" has a positive influence on the liver's metabolic process that has evidenced results of morpho-biochemical analysis and clinical diagnostic of animals.

Journal: The role of CGPR - receptor antagonist in the plastic process on the hepatopathies with toxical genesis. (Pubmed Central) - May 14, 2022 So, we can assume that the CGPR - receptor antagonist drugs have a great variety in their administration, including the potentiation of other drugs used in the pharmacorrection of different pathologies. The balanced influence on the CGPR - receptors significantly influence the homeostasis maintenance and the nociception of the hepatobiliary system.

Journal: Design and biological evaluation of novel long-acting adalimumab Fab conjugated with the albumin binding domain. (Pubmed Central) - Nov 7, 2021 Most notably, the pharmacokinetics of Fab-ABDCon in mice was significantly improved with a 22-fold longer plasma half-life (28.2 h) compared with that of Fab control (1.31 h), which have contributed to its satisfactory therapeutic efficacy in murine TNFα-induced hepatonecrosis model. Thus, Fab-ABDCon could be a promising long-acting candidate suitable for drug development targeting TNFα-mediated inflammatory disease.

Journal: Removal of Aerosolized Contaminants from Working Canines via a Field Wipe-Down Procedure. (Pubmed Central) - Jan 13, 2021 Reduction was similar between CHX or water in Labradors (p = 0.86) and shepherds (p = 0.06). Effective wipe-down strategies using common veterinary cleansers should be further investigated and incorporated into decontamination practices to safeguard working canine health and prevent cross-contamination of human personnel working with these animals.

Journal: The protective effects of modified palygorskite on the broilers fed a purified zearalenone-contaminated diet. (Pubmed Central) - Nov 27, 2019 Dietary modified Pal supplementation reduced hepatic malondialdehyde accumulation, whereas increased renal superoxide dismutase activity in broilers fed a ZEN-contaminated diet at 42 d (P < 0.05). This finding suggested that dietary modified Pal administration could promote growth performance, reduce hepatonephric ZEN residues, and improve liver function and antioxidant status of broiler chickens receiving a ZEN-contaminated diet.

Journal: A hepatonephro-protective phenolic-rich extract from red onion (Allium cepa L.) peels. (Pubmed Central) - Aug 8, 2019 The flavonol- and phenolic acid-based nature of constituents, the high phenolic content (72.33±5.30 mg gallic acid equivalent per one gram) and the significant antioxidant capacity (>1/3 potency of rutin) of ACPE may be thus attributed strongly to the hepatonephro-protective and anti-inflammatory effect of ACPE. The results suggest that red onion peels can serve as a convenient and cost-effective source of high-value antioxidant nutraceuticals for protection against oxidative stress-related disorders.
