Comparative genomic analysis demonstrates a high degree of genetic similarity among C. pseudotuberculosis strains, in contrast to other Corynebacterium species, with a clear delineation between strains belonging to the two biovars (ovis and equi). The data of the present study contribute to a better understanding of the properties of C. pseudotuberculosis biovar equi strains and the potential risk they pose to alpacas and other livestock, as well as the necessity of ongoing surveillance and monitoring of infectious diseases in animals.

saprophyticus was isolated mainly in young women and was resistant to oxacillin in half of the cases. Interestingly, nitrofurantoin was active against most isolated organisms and can be considered as empirical treatment in uncomplicated UTIs.

The study concludes the high spreading of coexistence of more than one gene of Group A ?-lactamase genes among uropathogenic Escherichia coli causes them to resist many antibiotics. This makes the treatment regimen unusual or hard to be achieved.

However, none of the Enterococci isolates were resistant to linezolid and nitrofurantoin...It is suggested to stop the administration of TMP/SMX and third-generation cephalosporins for empiric treatment of UTI in Iranian pediatric renal transplant recipients. Ciprofloxacin might be administered cautiously secondary to the increasing rate of antibiotic resistance in this group.

Strong biofilm formation ability was observed in about 30% of the tested isolates. The low resistance rates recorded against nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin, piperacillin-tazobactam, and gentamicin could suggest them as the most appropriate therapies for CA-UTIs.

This study found high antibiotic resistance genes in circulation in the fish food industry chain from the macro- to microenvironment. The obtained data confirmed the diffusion of the "antibiotic resistance phenomenon" and its repercussions on the One-health and food-producing systems.
