Carbamazepine-valproic acid cocrystal did not show an extreme improvement in dissolution profile when compared to carbamazepine, however after 24 hours carbamazepine-valproic acid cocrystal was more soluble than carbamazepine. Valproic acid forms a new salt with tromethamine and it forms a cocrystal with carbamazepine which can effect on physicochemical properties.

These media could be applied during discovery and development activities to provide a solubility range, which would assist placement of the drug within the BCS/DCS and rationalise drug and formulation decisions.

The adverse effects reported were drowsiness (9/10) and dizziness (2/10); 9 of the 10 patients reported improved olfactory function after carbamazepine treatment. While the role of carbamazepine in the control of post-coronavirus disease olfactory dysfunction could not be confirmed in this study, the satisfactory response observed in most patients in this series suggests that further studies are warranted.

More importantly, CNTs-PSDs determined a greater amount of micropollutants than grab sampling and solid-phase extraction (SPE), which proves the advantage of passive sampling over grab sampling, especially when monitoring contaminants in the aquatic environment at low concentration levels.

Our study suggests that drugs with different structures and physicochemical properties may interact differently with ACs, especially in multicomponent solutions, with important implications for the design (e.g., volumes and areas of treatment plants) and operation (e.g., water residence time) of the treatment plants.

More studies are needed to explore the mechanisms of desorption kinetics by using in situ DGT technique in the field.
