    Modulation of GLUA1-containing AMPA receptor trafficking and central sensitization by the dopamine D2 receptor via the PI3K signaling pathway may contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic migraine in rats, and the dopamine D2 receptor could be a valuable candidate for chronic migraine treatment. ARHGAP9 inhibited the malignant phenotypes of CRC cells via interdicting PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.

    After MCAO/R for 24 h, rats were randomly subdivided into 5 groups: sham, model (MCAO/R), study treatment (PF + CG, 40 + 20 mg/kg), LY294002 (20 mg/kg), and study treatment + LY294002...In vitro, PF + CG suppressed apoptosis in HT22 cells and decreased ROS and MDA levels (20%, 50%, respectively). PF + CG showed a synergistic protective effect against ischaemic brain injury, potentially being a future treatment for ischaemic stroke.

    Our results demonstrated that ROS-induced cardiac cell death may occur through the ETA-PI3Kγ-AKT axis, and that PIK3IP1 inhibits binding with both ETA and PI3Kγ. Taken together, these findings reveal that PIK3IP1 plays an anti-ischemic role by reducing the likelihood of programmed cell death via interaction with the ETA-PI3Kr-AKT axis.

    Modulating the activity of the PI3K/Akt pathway by SC‑79 and LY294002 in HepG2 and HCCLM3 cells, respectively, confirmed that Cx32 could affect the expansion of LCSCs through PI3K/Akt signaling. In conclusion, the present study demonstrated that Cx32 regulated the expansion of LCSCs, and increased expression of Cx32 significantly inhibited the expansion of LCSCs, suggesting that Cx32 may be an optimal target for intervention of HCC.

    The effects of LY294002 and TAⅡ_A at different concentrations on the secretion of interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-8(IL-8), and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) by HUVECs were investigated...In contrast, once the PI3 K/Akt signaling pathway was blocked, the mRNA and protein expression of ANXA2 and E-cad significantly decreased, IL-6 and MCP-1 secretion significantly increased, and IL-8 secretion was significantly reduced. It suggests that TAⅡ_A regulates the activation of vascular endothelial cells in APS patients by activating the PI3 K/Akt signaling pathway.

    Dexamethasone (DEX) was reported to inhibit osteogenic differentiation in zebrafish larvae and MC3T3-E1 cells in prior research...We also found that epimedin C enhanced ALPL activity and mineralization in MC3T3-E1 cells treated using DEX, which may be reversed by PI3K inhibitor (LY294002)...These findings suggested that epimedin C alleviated the suppressive impact of DEX on the osteogenesis of zebrafish larval and MC3T3-E1 cells via triggering the PI3K and AKT signaling pathways. Epimedin C has significant potential in the development of innovative drugs for the treatment of glucocorticoid-mediated osteoporosis.

    To test this assumption and further elucidate the mechanisms, primary rabbit osteoblasts were seeded on TIs or SHTs and cultured with normal serum, diabetic serum (DS), DS + N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) (a potent ROS inhibitor), and DS + LY294002 (a specific PI3K/Akt inhibitor) for osteoblast behavior examinations...The above results collectively demonstrated that the SF/HA hybrid coating significantly ameliorated DM-mediated impaired osseointegration of the TI via reactivation of the ROS-mediated PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. The hybrid coating elicited a novel surface biofunctionalization strategy to attain favorable clinical performance of TI in diabetics.

    Further results showed that LY294002, a specific inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, reduced LGI3-induced cell migration...Taken together, these data indicate that LGI3 induces keratinocyte migration in high-glucose environments as a result of β-catenin accumulation via Akt phosphorylation. Therefore, LGI3 can be considered a new treatment option for diabetic wound healing.

Collectively, this study firstly investigated the role of the m6A-associated miR-380-3p/PTEN/Akt pathway in regulating PC progression, which provided novel therapeutic and diagnostic biomarkers for this cancer.

Thus, miR-301a-3p mediates venous endothelial cell damage by targeting IGF1 and regulating the IGF1/PI3K/Akt/PPARγ/NF-κB/MMPs pathway.
