    The antibiotic was switched to clindamycin, cefazolin, cefotiam, and flomoxef...This report presents the case of a previously healthy patient with bilateral parapneumonic empyema caused by F. necrophorum, without manifestations of pharyngotonsillitis, bacteremia, or Lemierre's syndrome. Extensive thoracic drainage, effective antibiotics, and timely surgical interventions are imperative.

This case describes successful treatment of refractory CRAB meningitis with the administration of sulbactam-durlobactam and meropenem and highlights the need to be cognizant of the paradoxical effect that can be observed with broth microdilution testing of CRAB isolates with cefiderocol.

    The isolation of Aeromonas hydrophila is indicative that it may be a potential pathogen that causes acute diarrhea. The isolates were also found to be more resistant to the sulfonamide and beta lactams hence possible transfer to other gut pathogens or normal flora leading to increased antimicrobial resistance.
