(Pubmed Central) - Jan 1, 2020 Since GeneSwitch GAL4 is conveniently activated by the steroid RU486 (mifepristone), we conducted an enhancer-trap screen to isolate GeneSwitch GAL4 lines with expression in the GSC-niche unit...The use of lines #2305 or #2261 to overexpress Drosophila insulin-like peptide 2, which maintains GSC lifespan, in aged niche cap cells significantly delayed age-dependent GSC loss. These results support the notion that insulin signaling is beneficial for maintaining aged stem cells and also validate the utility of our GeneSwitch GAL4 lines for studying stem cell aging.

We thus revealed that the oxytocin receptor is an upstream regulator of COX-2 and connexin43 in the uterus during parturition and that both oxytocin/oxytocin receptor and PGF2α receptor are major components for successful parturition.

(Pubmed Central) - Dec 23, 2019 Because GR antagonism can reverse expression of these genes, we propose that addition of a GR antagonist to chemotherapy may improve outcome of these high-risk patients. Mifepristone acts as a PPAR γ agonist, and relieves cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by restoring the balance between MMPs and TIMPs and inhibiting inflammatory cytokines.

In summary, the findings of this study suggest that induction of Hmga1 may be important for theca and granulosa cell differentiation into luteal cells.

The results from the present study suggest that the endogenous CSE/HS system regulates fast-twitch glycolytic muscle degeneration and regeneration.

These results confirm that progesterone significantly improves the glucose metabolism of neurons.One of the mechanisms of this effect is that progesterone upregulates protein expression of GLUT3 and GLUT4 through pathways PGRMC1/CREB/GLUT3 and PGRMC1/PPARγ/GLUT4.

These observations suggest that intrinsic resistance to endogenous GCs is characteristic of CLL cells and ibrutinib may help increase the therapeutic activity of GCs by non-canonical activation of GR.

Low-dose misoprostol combined with mifepristone is suitable to the induced labor of 16 to 28 weeks pathological pregnancy in Chinese women.

These findings not only provide the potential therapeutic value of Xiaoyaosan for atherosclerotic vulnerable plaque but also brought forth a novel strategy for preventing the formation and treatment of atherosclerotic vulnerable plaques through the elucidated mechanism of XYS on vulnerable plaque.
