In an effort to overcome this limitation, we have measured numerous drugs using the most common, and readily available SERS material and hand-held Raman analyzers, specifically gold colloids and analyzers using 785 nm laser excitation. Here we present the spectra of some 39 drugs of current interest, such as buprenorphine, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, and fentanyl, which we hope will aid in the development of current and future SERS drug analysis applications.

The mean N-equimolarity of CLND for ten fentanyl derivatives and U-47700 by the present LC-CLND method was 96.4% (range 91-101%)...The U-47700 samples consisted of seven powdery samples with a mean (median, range) hydrochloride purity of 89.0% (100%, 51-100%). The present application to synthetic opioid analysis widens the scope of the established LC-CLND method, previously found useful for single-calibrant quantification of stimulant/hallucinogenic and cannabinoid type of NPS.

Appropriate use of dexmedetomidine, fentanyl, sufentanil, ketamine, meperidine, tramadol and MgSO4 may effectively reduce the incidence and severity of shivering during CSs under NA, while trials on the effect of intravenous ondansetron reached inconclusive results.

An elevated tryptase level (31.1; reference <10.9ug/L) was drawn two hours after the reaction.Four weeks after the reaction, the patient underwent skin prick testing (SPT) to rocuronium, fentanyl, propofol, lidocaine, cefazolin, iodine and chlorhexidine, and alternative NMBAs (vecuronium, cisatracurium and succinylcholine)...Without consensus on NMBA cross reactivity, a reaction or sensitization to one of these drugs might not warrant avoidance of the whole drug class. Sensitization or tolerance to other NMBAs should be assessed prior to future surgical procedures.

Although initially mixed with heroin, IMF is increasingly being found in supplies of cocaine, methamphetamine, and counterfeit prescription pills, which increases the number of populations at risk for an opioid-involved overdose (3,4)...Nearly all racial/ethnic groups and age groups experienced increases in opioid-involved and synthetic opioid-involved overdose death rates, particularly blacks aged 45-54 years (from 19.3 to 41.9 per 100,000) and 55-64 years (from 21.8 to 42.7) in large central metro areas and non-Hispanic whites (whites) aged 25-34 years (from 36.9 to 58.3) in large fringe metro areas. Comprehensive and culturally tailored interventions are needed to address the rise in drug overdose deaths in all populations, including prevention strategies that address the risk factors for substance use across each racial/ethnic group, public health messaging to increase awareness about synthetic opioids in the drug supply, expansion of naloxone distribution for overdose reversal, and increased access to medication-assisted treatment.

A literature search was performed for these 20 agents to determine pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and dosing in obese children and revealed six studies evaluating fentanyl ( n = 2), midazolam ( n = 1), and propofol ( n = 3). The combination of propofol and dezocine can decrease propofol dosage, reduce the risk for the development of inhibitory effects on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, increase analgesic effect, decrease body movement, shorten awakening time, and improve awakening quality.

In PF group 70 minutes after the anesthesia 21 patients had a Bromage score equal to 0 and 9 patients equal to 9 (in P group, 19 patients had a score equal to 3, 8 to 2 and 3 to 1, p<0.0001). Subarachnoid anesthesia using Prilocaine 30 mg + Fentanyl 20 mcg could be stated as a viable alternative to local anesthesia in selected patients.
