This patient demonstrates that serious complications, such as DRESS syndrome may occur with levetiracetam within 8 weeks of initiation. Conclusions : Physiatrists should be aware of DRESS syndrome as a severe drug induced reaction of levetiracetam and be mindful in using antiepileptics to prevent early posttraumatic seizures.

Conclusions : To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of desipramine exacerbating post-hypoxic myoclonus, likely through the effects of one or both of serotonin or norepinephrine. In this complex case, where rehabilitation treatments for cognitive, motor, and mood symptoms were both overlapping and conflicting, identifying and addressing desipramine withdrawal paved the way for a better functional outcome.

Prompt treatment and proper agitation management allows for improved rehabilitation progress and clinical outcomes.Conclusions : Early recognition of ANRE allows for prompt treatment and improved patient recovery, rehabilitation, and clinical outcomes.

Within 12 hours of withdrawal of levetiracetam, there was a downward trend in the CPK levels, with a 10-fold decrease in CPK levels over the next 4 days. This is only the ninth case reported in literature regarding this rare and potentially serious adverse effect of levetiracetam.

In this case, aphasia was determined to be an ictal semiology, as patient had complete resolution of his symptoms supported by a normal EEG after receiving seizure medications. We suggest keeping high suspicion for an ictal process in patients with sudden-onset aphasia supported by EEG findings of LPDs.
