The basic prescription is composed of eight herbs, and was modified according to the TCM differentiation of the relative predominance of heart-fire and spleen deficiency.The decoction was given orally for 12 weeks. ;The oral decoction was the same as for group A.The external wash formula was composed of four dispensing granules, which was used as an external wash for 20 minutes twice daily. ;oral administration of antihistamine and a placebo of Chinese medicine pills added to topical 1% mometasone furoate.3% Boric acid solution and zinc oxide ointment were permitted if necessary.
