In addition, experiences using GC targeting therapeutic options (already used and investigated in preclinical and clinical trials), such as classic GC dexamethasone, selective glucocorticoid receptor agonists and modulators, the GC antagonist mifepristone, and GR coregulators, are also summarized. Evidence presented can aid a better understanding of the biology of context-dependent GC action that can lead to further advances in the personalized therapy of breast cancer by the evaluation of GR along with the conventional estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) in the routine diagnostic procedure.

Postsurgical cortisol values were not different among subjects with or without abnormal dexamethasone suppression test or elevated urinary free cortisol pre-surgery, and were significantly higher in subjects with abnormal diurnal cortisol variability compared with subjects with normal diurnal variability...In conclusion, postoperative cortisol values did not indicate any suspicion of possible adrenal insufficiency. To exclude possible adrenal insufficiency, it may be sufficient to measure morning cortisol in the early postoperative course.

In conclusion, this study revealed that overexpressing STK11 dampened GC-induced OP by activating the AMPK/SIRT1/PGC1α axis.

The modest improvement of mycobacteria-specific T cell upon combinatorial therapy with MIP and prednisolone requires further investigation.

The effective rate of 95.56% in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of 86.67% in the control group, and the complication rate was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF drugs combined with tretinoin injection can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of patients with Coats disease and improve visual acuity and central retinal thickness, which has certain reference value for the clinical treatment of Coats disease.
