    Rare case of complete facial diplegia after botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine () -  Jun 18, 2024 - Abstract #AHS2024AHS_222;
    To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of complete facial diplegia occurring as an indiosyncratic reaction to botulinum toxin therapy for chronic migraine. Importantly, this occurred with use of incobotulinumtoxinA, which is an off-label but often used substitute for chronic migraine and has a lower molecular weight (150 kiloDalton) compared with onabotulinumtoxinA (900 kiloDalton).

    A case of adult-onset cyclical vomiting syndrome responsive to a gepant () -  Jun 18, 2024 - Abstract #AHS2024AHS_186;
    While CVS has historically been thought to be a childhood periodic syndrome, it is important to keep this syndrome on the differential even for adults who present with recurrent episodes of emesis with a negative gastrointestinal workup. The case also suggests the potential role of gepants in acute therapy of CVS attacks.

    Preclinical, Journal:  Activation of pyramidal neurons in the infralimbic cortex alleviates LPS-induced depressive-like behavior in mice. (Pubmed Central) -  Jun 17, 2024
    These results collectively suggest that targeted activation of pyramidal neurons in the IL cortex mitigates microglial response and ameliorates depressive-like behaviors induced by systemic LPS administration. Therefore, our findings offer potential therapeutic targets for the development of interventions aimed at alleviating depressive symptoms by modulating IL cortical circuitry and microglial activity.
