- |||||||||| Journal: Antidiabetic potency and molecular insights of natural products bearing indole moiety: A systematic bioinformatics investigation targeting AKT1. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 13, 2024
Furthermore, molecular dynamic simulation at 100?ns, physicochemical analysis, pharmacokinetics, toxicity assessment, and drug-likeness evaluation suggested that HERD_A and penerpene PENE_D were the most potent inhibitors against AKT1 compared to koenimbine (most potential based on the recorded IC50 value) and murrayakonine_A (most potential based on the docking score). In summary, HERD_A and/or PENE_D have the potential to be used as alternative therapeutic agent for the treatment of diabetes after some pharmacological investigation.

Journal: The preferential utilization of hepatic glycogen as energy substrates in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) under short-term starvation. (Pubmed Central) - Dec 18, 2023 Gene expression analysis revealed that the starvation down-regulated the expression of insulin-like growth factor 1 and genes of TOR pathway, such as target of rapamycin (tor) and ribosomal protein S6 (s6) (P < 0.05)...Meanwhile, the expression of gluconeogenesis genes, such as glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit (g6pc), fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase-1 (fbp1) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxy kinase (pepck), was significantly inhibited with the short-term starvation (P < 0.05). In conclusion, short-term starvation induced an overall decline in growth performance, but it could deplete the hepatic glycogen accumulation and mobilize glycogen for energy effectively.
- |||||||||| Among the < 0.1 percent of breast cancers: A case of adenoid cystic carcinoma (Hall 2-3) - Nov 4, 2023 - Abstract #SABCS2023SABCS_1284;
With lack of data on ACCB, treatment modalities should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Moreover, considering the scarcity of information concerning this particular subtype of breast cancer, it is advisable to discuss these patients within a multi-disciplinary tumor board setting to ensure patients receive the maximum benefit.
- |||||||||| Beta Activity In Anterior Cingulate Cortex Mediates Reward Biases In Learning (WCC 152B) - Nov 3, 2023 - Abstract #Neuroscience2023NEUROSCIENCE_1712;
In summary, our findings indicate that ACC beta oscillations orchestrate the binding of reward and sensory information to guide adaptive choice. Moreover, these oscillations potentially serve as a biomarker for anhedonia and offer insights into future targeted neuromodulatory interventions.

SNP discovery based on transcriptome sequencing of whole blood RNA to find predictive biomarkers for nivolumab in gastric cancer () - Jul 27, 2023 - Abstract #ESMO2023ESMO_3035; In comparison between pts with non-HPD and pts with HPD, 306 genes in immune-related GO-Terms were enriched in pts with non-HPD and the median expression value of this genes set was significantly higher in pts with non-HPD; 16 SNPs in 12 genes (COX10-AS1, PASK, DOCK10, CDS2, PASK, CSGALNACT1, ARHGAP26, HLA-DQA1, DIAPH2, NFATC1, ARHGAP6, LCP2, RASA3) were correlated to non-HPD. Conclusions Our translational study demonstrated for the first time that gene expression of whole blood and SNPs as host-related markers can potentially predict response to Nivo in AGC.

TLC-3595, a selective acetyl-CoA carboxylase 2 (ACC2) inhibitor, improves steatosis and fibrosis in murine models of NASH via pleiotropic mechanisms (Poster Area) - Apr 12, 2023 - Abstract #EASLILC2023EASL_ILC_507; In the heart of healthy rats, cholecalciferol affects proteins regulating malonyl CoA availability and intracellular Ca2+ handling proteins. High-fat diet (HFD)-fed, diet-induced obese (DIO) mice, Fatty Liver Shionogi-Lepob/Lepob (FLS-ob/ob) mice, or choline-deficient, L-amino acid-defined HFD (CDAHFD)-fed mice were treated with TLC-3595 (5-60 mg/kg BID) or the nonselective, liver-targeted ACC inhibitor firsocostat (FIR, 0.5-1.5 mg/kg BID) for 4

Antidiabetic Effects of TLC-3595, a Selective ACC2 Inhibitor, in ZDF Rats (Poster Halls B-C; [Board No. 849]) - Apr 10, 2023 - Abstract #ADA2023ADA_1415; TLC-3595 reduced IMCL, improved IS, and delayed T2D progression comparable to Pio in ZDF rats. These data provide strong rationale for evaluation of TLC-3595 to treat insulin resistance and T2D.

- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal, IO biomarker: IL1RN and PRRX1 as a Prognostic Biomarker Correlated with Immune Infiltrates in Colorectal Cancer: Evidence from Bioinformatic Analysis. (Pubmed Central) - Dec 10, 2022
Based on the enrichment results of the "Gene Ontology"(GO) and "Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and genomes "(KEGG) as well as documented findings of key genes, we further emphasized the potential of IL1RN and PRRX1 as markers of immune infiltrates in CRC and confirmed our hypothesis by compiling data from the UALCAN, Tumor Immune Estimation Resource, and TISIDB databases for these two genes. The above-mentioned genes might offer a valuable insight into the diagnosis, immunotherapeutic targets, and prognosis of CRC.
