    Importantly, radiation-indomethacin combination treatment improved local control of the primary lesion, reduced metastatic burden, and increased median survival when compared with radiation treatment alone. These results show that clinically available NSAIDs can improve radiation therapeutic efficacy through increased antitumor immune response and augmented local generation of cGAS/STING1 and type I IFNs.

    A wide diversity of benzothiazoles were reported over the last years to interfere with various proteins involved in tumorigenesis and, more specifically, in hypoxic tumors. Many hypoxic targets are overexpressed as a result of the hypoxia-inducible factor activation cascade and may not be present in normal tissues, providing a potential strategy for selectively targeting hypoxic cancers.

    Model applicability was demonstrated using mass spectrometry mediator lipidomics to measure eicosanoids produced by HaCaT epidermal keratinocytes and 46BR.1N dermal fibroblasts, treated with stimuli (calcium ionophore A23187), (ultraviolet radiation, adenosine triphosphate) and a cyclooxygenase inhibitor (indomethacin)...The quantitative agreement between experimental and predicted outputs could be improved by expanding network topology to include additional reactions. Overall, our approach generated an adaptable, tuneable ensemble model of the AA cascade that can be tailored to represent different cell types and demonstrated that the integration of in silico and in vitro methods can facilitate a greater understanding of complex biological networks such as the AA cascade.

    Naproxen 250 mg twice a day inhibited COX-2 activity to a greater degree than celecoxib 100 mg twice a day.The degree of COX-2 inhibition was associated with the increase in systolic blood pressure with NSAID treatment relative to placebo. Dose and its pharmacological potency achieved in vivo should be considered when evaluating the relative cardiovascular safety of COX-2-selective vs. non-selective NSAIDs.

    Prophylactic administration of a thrombin inhibitor pre-operatively or a cMET inhibitor postoperatively effectively mitigated FF-induced adhesions, while COX inhibitor treatment exhibited no discernible effect. These findings underscore ovulation as a pivotal factor in the development of pelvic wound adhesions and advocate for targeted preventive strategies such as c-MET inhibition, scheduling surgeries outside the ovulatory period, or employing oral contraceptive measures.

    These findings showed that miR-412-5p-loaded exosomes ameliorated LPS-induced inflammation in H9c2 cardiomyocytes by inhibiting COX-2 and iNOS expression, inflammatory mediators, and pro-inflammatory cytokines via the MAPK pathway. The findings indicate that miR-412-5p-loaded exosomes may be effective for the prevention of myocardial injury.

    Apart from BSA, we conducted some experimental studies with human serum albumin, and similar results were obtained, suggesting a general effect for other mammalian serum albumins. Our findings support that the RCOOH moiety affects not only the mechanism of action and side effects but also the pharmacokinetics of NSAIDs.

    Two in vitro studies identified a negative outcome on patellar tendon and ACL cell proliferation or viability after non-selective COX inhibition and variable results after selective COX-2 inhibition. Animal studies on postoperative NSAID use after knee surgery suggest that administration of selective and nonselective COX-2 inhibitors may impair healing of soft tissue, bone and tendon-to-bone; however, further clinical studies are needed to better characterize dose and duration dependent risks of NSAIDs.

So, more extensive research on both human and animal subjects are needed to ascertain the veracity of this hypothesis.
