- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: Plasma DNA Integrity as a Prognostic Biomarker for Colorectal Cancer Chemotherapy. (Pubmed Central) - Jun 22, 2021
CEA and CA242 were significantly lower in the postoperative group than in the preoperative group. Serum DNA integrity index (ALU247/115) may prove to be a promising candidate biomarker for prognostic prediction of CRC who underwent chemotherapy and during short-term follow-up.
- |||||||||| Clinical, Journal: Study of Fe₃O₄-PPy Core-Shell Nanocomposite in the Diagnosis of Tumor Markers in the Tissues of Early Gastric Cancer Patients. (Pubmed Central) - Jun 10, 2021
Therefore, it is believed that the Fe₃O₄-PPy is of great significance for the detection of early gastric tumor markers in the tissues of patients with early gastric cancer, and has certain value for the auxiliary diagnosis of early gastric cancer and the observation of therapeutic effects. This study results provide a reference for the further researches of Fe₃O₄-PPy in the diagnosis of tumor markers in patients with early gastric cancer.
- |||||||||| Clinical, Journal: Overexpression of 14-3-3δ Predicts Poor Prognosis in Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma Patients. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 29, 2021
Our results suggest that 14-3-3δ serves as an oncogenic driver in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma tumorigenesis rather than a cell cycle regulator; the overexpression of 14-3-3δ might be frequently acquired by tumor cells to escape appropriate cell cycle regulation. Thus, 14-3-3δ could be a potential target for extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis and therapy.
- |||||||||| Journal: Performance evaluation of CA242 by flow fluorescence assay. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 29, 2021
No statistically significant difference between serum samples without interferences and samples containing lipemia, bilirubin and hemoglobin. And no cross reaction existed between the assay kit and the other tumor markers, such as carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), and cytokeratin-19 soluble fragment (CYFRA21-1).The new CA242 quantitative assay kit possesses good detection performance when it is used in TESMI F3999-Luminex200 automatic immunoassay system, which can be used for the examination of CA242 in clinical practice.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: Metabolomics identified new biomarkers for the precise diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and associated tissue metastasis. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 23, 2021
Taken together, this metabolomics method was used to identify and validate metabolite biomarkers that can precisely and sensitively diagnose the onsite progression and metastasis of pancreatic cancer in a clinical setting. Furthermore, such effort should leave clinicians with the correct time frame to facilitate early and efficient therapeutic interventions, which could largely improve the five-year survival rate of PC patients by significantly lowering clinical mortality.

In addition, ferritin may be a supplement to CA19-9 in stratifying the survival outcome of patients with small-duct type ICC. Our study found that adjuvant chemotherapy, PNLNR, intraoperative blood transfusion, tumor size, perineural invasion, serum CEA, and duration of hospital stay after surgery had significance in multivariate analysis and were independent risk factors for survival.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Clinical, Journal: CD26 as a Promising Biomarker for Predicting Prognosis in Patients with Pancreatic Tumors. (Pubmed Central) - Dec 19, 2020
CD26 expression was significantly increased in pancreatic tumors and gradually increased with increasing malignancy degree, suggesting that CD26 may be involved in the tumorigenic proliferation of pancreatic tumors. Therefore, CD26 is a potential marker for early diagnosis and a promising therapeutic target in pancreatic tumors.
- |||||||||| Clinical, Journal: Clinical significance and diagnostic value of serum NSE, CEA, CA19-9, CA125 and CA242 levels in colorectal cancer. (Pubmed Central) - Jun 23, 2020
Besides, the combination of NSE, CEA, CA19-9, CA125 and CA242 was significantly more sensitive compared with NSE alone. Thus, the combined detection of the 5 tumor markers may be more useful for the diagnosis of CRC.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: Metabolomics identifies serum and exosomes metabolite markers of pancreatic cancer. (Pubmed Central) - May 23, 2020
Thus, the combined detection of the 5 tumor markers may be more useful for the diagnosis of CRC. These data reveal dysregulated lipids in serum exosome of PC patients, which have potential to be biomarkers for diagnosis, or unveil pathological relationship between exosome and PC progress.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: Correlation study between serum neuro-specific enolase and gastric and colorectal cancers. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 28, 2020
The AUC of the combined markers was higher than for any of the markers individually (0.778-0.810).The AUC for NSE alone suggests it may be an independent tumor marker, and useful for diagnosis of GC and CRC. However, the AUC for combined NSE, CEA, CA19-9, and CA242 was higher and thus potentially more diagnostic value.
- |||||||||| Clinical, Journal: The prognostic value of preoperative serum CA724 for CEA-normal colorectal cancer patients. (Pubmed Central) - Apr 25, 2020
In the multivariate Cox regression analysis of OS and DFS, only pT stage, pN stage, metastasis and serum CA724 were independent prognostic risk factors for CRC patients with normal CEA levels. Preoperative serum CA724 might serve as a potential prognostic factor for CRC patients with normal serum CEA levels.
- |||||||||| Journal: Testicular Metastasis of Pancreatic Carcinoma on FDG-PET/CT. (Pubmed Central) - Mar 2, 2020
F-FDG PET/CT was recommended for identifying potential malignancy and showed several hypermetabolic masses in the pancreas, left testis, and right lung. Resection of left testicular and pancreatic masses and fine-needle biopsy of right pulmonary mass were performed, and subsequent pathology confirmed pancreatic adenocarcinoma metastasizing to the testis and lung.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: The sensitivity and specificity of serum glycan-based biomarkers for cancer detection. (Pubmed Central) - Feb 1, 2020
The reason is that most of the newly discovered cancer biomarkers are inferior in terms of sensitivity and specificity to these biomarkers. We will summarize the reported sensitivity and specificity of currently used cancer biomarkers, especially the glycan-related biomarkers, in the forms of tables and radar plots and discuss the pros and cons of currently used cancer biomarkers.
- |||||||||| Biomarker, Journal: CA242 as a biomarker for pancreatic cancer and other diseases. (Pubmed Central) - Feb 1, 2020
In contrast, patients suffering from sequela of brain damage and anemia had statistically lower median values than healthy controls. Based on the -logp values, the increased serum CA242 levels could be used not only for diagnosis of pancreatic and other cancers, but also for diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease, suggesting CA242 might be a systemic malfunction biomarker associated with cancers and other chronic diseases.
