    Journal:  Anti-ENO1 antibody combined with metformin against tumor resistance: a novel antibody-based platform. (Pubmed Central) -  Mar 26, 2024
    The study preliminarily revealed anti-ENO1 antibody combined with metformin could overcome drug resistance against CSCs by inhibiting the Wnt//?-catenin pathway and might serve as a potential precursor platform for screening ADC. More importantly, it is reasonably believed that antibody-based drug combination therapy might function as an encouraging tool for oncotherapy.

    Review, Journal:  The Capacity of Drug-Metabolising Enzymes in Modulating the Therapeutic Efficacy of Drugs to Treat Rhabdomyosarcoma. (Pubmed Central) -  Mar 13, 2024
    In this review, we critically analyse what has been achieved so far in RMS therapy and provide insight into how a diverse group of drug-metabolising enzymes (DMEs) possess the capacity to modify the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy. We provide suggestions for new therapeutic strategies that exploit the presence of DMEs for prodrug activation, targeted chemotherapy that does not rely on DMEs, and RMS-molecular-subtype-targeted therapies that have the potential to enter clinical evaluation.

    Utilizing nature tropism of a novel nanomaterial towards cancer stem cells | Poster Board #M12 (In-person; Poster Board #M12; Studio 3 - 10 (New Orleans Marriott)) -  Mar 12, 2024 - Abstract #ACSSp2024ACS_Sp_11502;
    Together, our data reveal a novel ALDH2-based protective mechanism against septic ARDS, and the activation of ALDH2 may be an effective treatment strategy for sepsis. When chemotherapeutic agent, paclitaxel (PTX), was encapsulated in the P 2 NPs (PTX-P 2 ), the delivery efficiency of PTX to the MDA-MB-231 cells was significantly improved when compared with PTX-P 1 and Abraxane
  • ||||||||||  Using ?-dynamics to improve computational enzyme design | Poster Board #1626 (In-person; Poster Board #1626; Hall C (Ernest N. Morial Convention Center)) -  Mar 12, 2024 - Abstract #ACSSp2024ACS_Sp_9869;
    Future work on this project would include combining the alchemical transformations possible through MSLD with geometric enhanced sampling methods to propagate the enzyme through all conformations necessary for catalysis, which will enable the measurement of the effect of mutations upon currently unsampled energy barriers. Future applications of our method could include measurement of the impact of multiple concurrent mutations and making accurate suggestions without prior benchmarks from experimental data.
  • ||||||||||  Analytical methods for determining ethanol content in non-alcoholic and alcohol-free beers and beverages | Poster Board #344 (In-person; Poster Board #344; Hall C (Ernest N. Morial Convention Center)) -  Mar 12, 2024 - Abstract #ACSSp2024ACS_Sp_5243;
    The three most promising methods, the enzyme assay kit, quantitative 1 H NMR spectroscopy, and a re-creation of the enzyme assay kit, were evaluated by multifactorial analysis to discern the most practical and realistic option for differing needs of brewers. Evaluation of 11 beer and beverage samples demonstrated that these three methods are particularly effective for measuring ethanol content in non-alcoholic and alcohol-free beverages.

  • ||||||||||  SLC1A4 is associated with metabolic reprogramming in triple-negative breast cancer (Section 14) -  Mar 5, 2024 - Abstract #AACR2024AACR_9652;
    Taken together, SLC1A4 is a potential oncogene that not only induces rapid proliferation, aggressive invasion, and migration through metabolic reprogramming but also contributes to increasing cancer stem cell capabilities. In addition, it shows the sensitive response to ADR when SLC1A4 is low or absent, so it can be used as a treatment strategy for TNBC.
