  • ||||||||||  Retrospective data, Journal:  Endometriosis and Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 31, 2024
    PDs have the potential to provide insights into glandular inflammation in real time; however, large-scale studies on their clinical usefulness are needed. These findings support a bidirectional association between endometriosis and pSS, which may be driven by dendritic cell maturation and fibrosis signaling pathways.

  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Questionnaire survey of the application of four objective indicators necessary for standardized diagnosis of Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 30, 2024
    SS diagnosis couldn't be estimated according to 2002 AECG criteria, assuming both labial FS and UWSF were unavailable in 156 (94.0%) patients with positive anti-SSA/Ro; or assuming either labial FS or UWSF was unavailable in 10 (6.0%) patients with negative anti-SSA/Ro. The application rates of four objective indicators necessary for SS diagnosis are low, the rate of carrying out labial gland biopsy should be increased, and the labial FS reports and UWSF test should be standardized.
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Artesunate alleviates Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 28, 2024

  • ||||||||||  Review, Journal:  Role of ncRNAs in the Pathogenesis of Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 27, 2024
    Our results emphasize the importance of early recognition of PPF for timely intervention and careful follow-up. Here we review research into the causative roles of microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs) on immunological responses, inflammation, and salivary gland epithelial cell function in Sj
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Polyarthritis in Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 27, 2024
    A ROC curve analysis showed an acceptable diagnostic accuracy in differentiating between SS-pa and SS-RA patients using a binary logistic regression model, where highly positive rheumatoid factor (RF) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) values, kidney involvement, and anti-Ro/SS-A positivity were shown to significantly raise the odds of having RA, whereas anti-La/SS-B positivity seemed to have a protective role, since it significantly decreased the odds of having it. Further biomarkers are needed to better classify SS patient cohorts with inflammatory joint pain of different origins and, consequently, different management requirements.
  • ||||||||||  Review, Journal:  The use of stem cells in treating xerostomia: a systematic review. (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 27, 2024
    Further biomarkers are needed to better classify SS patient cohorts with inflammatory joint pain of different origins and, consequently, different management requirements. Although in its initial stages, the use of stem cells seems to be a promising therapy to alleviate xerostomia regardless of its cause.
  • ||||||||||  Review, Journal:  Advances in cellular and molecular pathways of salivary gland damage in Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 26, 2024
    Comprehensive understanding of these mechanisms is crucial for developing targeted therapeutic interventions. Thus, this study explores the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying SS-related salivary gland damage, aiming to propose novel targeted therapeutic approaches.
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Acute renal failure caused by Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 26, 2024
    We also provide a relevant analysis of SS and RA overlap syndrome treatment. We also provide a relevant analysis of SS and RA overlap syndrome treatment.
  • ||||||||||  Review, Journal:  Update on the pathophysiology and treatment of primary Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 26, 2024
    Indeed, several randomized controlled trials have just been completed or are poised to commence evaluating the effectiveness of novel drugs targeting both innate and adaptive immune pathways, including pro-inflammatory cytokines, the type I interferon system, B cell activation, B cell and T cell co-stimulation pathway, and ectopic germinal centre formation. Novel clinical trials are also ongoing exploring various targeted approaches (that is, IgG recycling inhibition, nuclease therapy and CAR-T cell therapy) for Sj
  • ||||||||||  Biomarker, Journal:  JAK1, SKI, ZBTB16 as potential biomarkers mediate the inflammatory response in keratoconjunctivitis sicca. (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 26, 2024
    The results of animal experiments showed that the transcription and expression levels of these three genes were significantly different in rat KCS tissues and normal tissues, and there were also differences in the expression of JAK1 and SKI in rat peripheral blood, as well as significant up-regulation of the expression of related inflammatory factors in KCS tissues. Through bioinformatics prediction and animal experimental validation, this study identified three differentially expressed genes in SS mediated KCS patients, which provide new potential biological targets for the diagnosis and treatment of KCS.
  • ||||||||||  Biomarker, Journal, Circular RNA:  The circular RNA hsa_circ_0045800 serves as a favorable biomarker in pathogenesis of sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 26, 2024
    Peripheral blood mononuclear cells are directly involved in the pathogenesis of pSS, and the discovery of hsa_circ_0045800 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells highlights its potential as a novel biomarker for disease activity and diagnosis in patients with pSS. Key Points
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Discovery of new myositis genetic associations through leveraging other immune-mediated diseases. (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 24, 2024
    Next, we colocalized IIM signals that overlapped IMD signals, and found seven potentially novel myositis associations mapped to immune-related genes, including BLK, IRF5/TNPO3, and ITK/HAVCR2, implicating a role for both B and T cells in IIM. This work proposes a new paradigm of genetic discovery in rarer diseases by leveraging information from more common IMD, and can be expanded to other conditions and traits beyond IMD.
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Profiles of peripheral B cell subsets in a cohort of primary Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 22, 2024
    Based on conventional Western medicine treatment, modified Sanliangsan can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, signs, and lung function of patients; the mechanism may be due to eugenol and related to MUC1 regulation. We identified a comprehensive B lymphocyte subset distribution profile in primary Sj
  • ||||||||||  Journal:  Salivary glands of Sj (Pubmed Central) -  Jul 20, 2024
