    The tolerability and safety profiles of mecapegfilgrastim were similar to those of filgrastim, with no unexpected adverse events (AEs); most adverse reactions in cycle 1 were mild or moderate in severity. Thus, mecapegfilgrastim is an effective and generally well tolerated treatment option for patients with non-myeloid malignancies receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy, and extends the options available for managing chemotherapy-induced neutropenia in China.

    Case 2 was treated with 4 cycles of rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone (R-CHOP) therapy after surgery and attained partial remission, and was then treated with apatinib and ibrutinib, and remained stable 18 months after initial diagnosis. Primary cardiac CD5-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma with C-MYC and bcl-2 double expression usually shows large infiltrative mass in the right atrium or ventricle, non-germinal center like immunophenotype and high proliferation index, and this may contribute to the aggressiveness of primary cardiac lymphoma.

    Nearly 30% patients required interruption of treatment as a result of toxicity. Our study demonstrated that apatinib combined with systemic cytotoxic chemotherapy has clinical efficacy in patients with disease-refractory metastatic NSCLC and provides evidence for further studies investigating apatinib-based combination regimens.
