Journal: Apatinib Promotes Ferroptosis in Colorectal Cancer Cells by Targeting ELOVL6/ACSL4 Signaling. (Pubmed Central) - Feb 20, 2021 Moreover, ACSL4, a vital regulator of ferroptosis, could interact with ELOVL6 directly, which was confirmed by the result of co-IP. These findings demonstrated that apatinib promoted ferroptosis in CRC cells by targeting ELOVL6/ACSL4, providing a new mechanism support for apatinib application in the clinical treatment of CRC.

Clinical, Journal: Efficacy and prognosis analyses of apatinib combined with S-1 in third-line chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer. (Pubmed Central) - Feb 9, 2021 Patients with advanced gastric cancer achieve relatively satisfactory short-term therapeutic effects after treatment with apatinib combined with S-1 in the third-line therapy, whose PFS is notably better than those treated with S-1 alone, and they are tolerant to adverse reactions. Highly differentiated tumors and post-treatment proteinuria and hand-foot syndrome are predictable factors for the PFS of patients.

Journal: Progress in conversion therapy for stage IV gastric cancer (Pubmed Central) - Feb 5, 2021 Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor with high heterogeneity, the classification of stage IV gastric cancer represented by Yoshida classification is based on imaging, and a more reasonable classification method should be developed in combination with gene detection in the future. Based on this, an individualized and accurate conversion therapy plan is formulated, so as to effectively improve the long-term survival of patients with stage IV gastric cancer.
